Do I qualify for the Emergency Broadband Benefit program?

The USAC administers the FCC’s Emergency Broadband Benefit program and can verify whether you’re eligible. Visit getemergencybroadband.org to see the guidelines and apply. Here’s a brief overview of who qualifies for this program:

  • Lifeline eligible customers​
  • Medicaid or SNAP recipients​
  • People approved for the federal free or reduced school breakfast/lunch program​
  • People who have experienced substantial income loss since February 29, 2020​
  • Pell Grant recipients​
  • People who participated in an existing low-income COVID-19 relief program​ with their broadband provider​
How long will the Emergency Broadband Benefit program last?

The program will be around as long as funds are available. That’s estimated to be about 6 months, but it can end at any time. If you qualify, we'll keep you updated on the status and notify you 30 days in advance before the program ends.

How many lines can get the Emergency Broadband Benefit discount?

Through the Emergency Broadband Benefit program, you can apply for $50 off select plans for one line per household. This credit isn’t transferable.

What if I don’t qualify for the Emergency Broadband Benefit discount?

While this program isn’t for everybody, our plans are. We make it easy for you to get the best value based on what you need, from deals on the best devices to commitment-free service.
