This version of the Apple Watch goes beyond Bluetooth technology by giving you access to C Spire's nationwide LTE Network when cellular is activated and the Watch is paired with a compatible iPhone on your account. Your Watch will use your iPhone's mobile number to receive and send calls and texts. You'll share the data from your iPhone's data plan with your Apple Watch. This means you can use the Apple Watch to talk, text and use apps when you don't have your iPhone or access to Wi-Fi.
Here's how you activate cellular service on your Apple Watch (GPS + Cellular).
To use the cellular capabilities of this Apple Watch on the C Spire LTE network, you'll need the following:
- An iPhone 6 or newer running at least iOS 11, carrier version 32.1 – This can be an iPhone that's already active on your account or a new one that you purchase along with the Apple Watch. The iPhone and the Apple Watch must be on the same C Spire account.
- A compatible postpaid* smartphone plan
- A wearable cellular plan ($10/month)

The Apple Watch (GPS + Cellular) can be activated with iPhones 6 and newer. iPhones paired with an Apple Watch (GPS + Cellular) must have iOS 11, carrier version 32.1 or later.

If you pair an Apple Watch (GPS + Cellular) with your iPhone to share data and access C Spire's LTE Network, there's a $10 per-month charge for wearable cellular service. This charge is in addition to the monthly plan charge for your iPhone.
Will the Apple Watch (GPS + Cellular) work while roaming?
Yes, once the Watch is paired with an iPhone and cellular is activated, it will work on C Spire's nationwide LTE Network.
Do I have to use the cellular capabilities of the Apple Watch (GPS + Cellular)?
No, you don't. You can purchase the Apple Watch at full price and simply pair it with your iPhone via Bluetooth (like with previous versions of the Apple Watch). Going forward, you'll use Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to communicate with your paired iPhone. There's no monthly service cost when you pair the Watch to your iPhone via Bluetooth.
How many Apple Watches can I have on my account?
You can have one Apple Watch (GPS + Cellular) with a wearable cellular plan for each compatible iPhone (models 6 and newer) on your account. Subject to credit qualifications. Why only one Watch per iPhone? Because when you activate cellular service on the Watch you're using the phone number of that iPhone. If you have more than one Apple Watch (GPS + Cellular), you can swap them out by going through the iPhone pairing process again.
Can I get AppleCare+ protection for the Apple Watch (GPS + Cellular)?
Yes. AppleCare+ is available for $49. It extends your coverage to two years from the original purchase date* and adds up to two incidents of accidental damage coverage, each subject to a $69 service fee, plus applicable tax. In addition, you'll get 24/7 priority access to Apple experts via chat or phone.
*Service coverage is available only for Apple Watch and its original included accessories that are defective in materials or workmanship or for batteries that retain less than 80 percent of their original capacity. The replacement equipment that Apple provides as part of the repair or replacement service may be new or equivalent to new in both performance and reliability.

Will emergency alerts display on the Apple Watch (GPS + Cellular)?
Wireless emergency alerts are not available on the Apple Watch over C Spire's netowrk; however, these alerts are available on the iPhone over C Spire's network.
What is the return policy for the Apple Watch (GPS + Cellular)?
The Apple Watch is subject to a 14-day return/exchange policy, but the item must be unopened, in its original packaging, and unused. Return or exchange of the Watch will not be allowed unless it meets these criteria. If the Watch does meet the criteria, it can be returned for a full refund or exchanged for another device.

Apple offers a one-year limited warranty for the included hardware product and accessories against defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of original retail purchase.
