Powered by SURJE.CO and Presented by the C Spire Foundation, Proceeds Will Benefit the Mississippi Children’s Museum
Jackson, MS (March 25, 2022) – The Mississippi Children’s Museum and the C Spire Foundation are pleased to present “In the Huddle with Coach Mike Leach” – a virtual group video call for 25 fans scheduled for Wednesday April 20, at 6:00 pm. The call, powered by SURJE.CO, is certain to be an entertaining and interactive hour of conversation and insights from Coach Mike Leach, head football coach of Mississippi State University and author of “Swing Your Sword.” The call will be hosted by the Voice of the Bulldogs, Neil Price.
Raffle tickets are $25 each and are currently on sale now through April 13 at https://one.bidpal.net/mikeleachevent. The 25 winners will be drawn and announced on April 14. The “In the Huddle with Mike Leach” package is valued at $250 and includes one ticket to the virtual video call, an autographed football from Coach Leach, signed “Swing Your Sword” book, and a black fleece “STATE” hoodie.
“We are so excited to try this concept of a virtual video call for the first time, using the SURJE.CO platform, as a new type of fundraiser,” said MCM’s President, Susan Garrard. “Not only will vital funding be provided to support our programs, such as our recently debuted Rocky’s House travelling exhibit, but the event allows for fans to have an unforgettable engaging experience with Coach Leach and some highly coveted sports memorabilia, too.”
All proceeds from the raffle will support the Mississippi Children’s Museum, including ongoing exhibit and program needs.
About the Mississippi Children’s Museum
The Mississippi Children’s Museum (MCM) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with a mission of creating unparalleled experiences to inspire excellence and a lifelong joy of learning in all children. MCM’s two museums, located in Jackson and Meridian, are designed around five primary initiatives, with correlating exhibits, programs, and outreach efforts. These initiatives include: Literacy, STEAM, Health and Nutrition, Cultural Arts, and Mississippi Heritage – the keys to helping our children mature into healthy and productive adult learners. In response to community needs due to the COVID-19 pandemic, MCM shifted operating and programming priorities to best serve Mississippi’s children and combat learning loss through facilitating virtual schooling and creating online educational enrichment – services that continue today through a robust, daily afterschool program and an online platform for teacher professional development.
In 2021, MCM celebrated a monumental year by receiving an Institute of Museum and Library Services National Medal, the nation’s highest honor for museums, and through opening its first satellite museum, MCM-Meridian, which received the 2021 Governor’s Award for Travel Attraction of the Year.
