Text Messages from numbers you don't recognize - like 1234
Text messages don’t always come from standard phone numbers. Businesses and organizations will often use text message short codes (like 1234) when texting promotional messages, appointment reminders or updates to you. In some cases, you may have previously registered to receive text messages from the sender.
Depending on the sender, you may be able to stop receiving these messages by texting back "stop," "u," or "unsubscribe."
