How to Transfer Your C Spire Phone Number

To transfer your C Spire phone number to another carrier (also known as porting out), you'll need to have the required account information on hand and be prepared to confirm your number transfer via text message within 8 hours of submitting a request. A few other things to note:
 
  • Your C Spire service must be active in order to transfer your phone number to a new carrier. If you've already disconnected your C Spire service, you'll need to reactivate it to complete your transfer.
  • If you're trading in your C Spire device to another carrier, be sure to wait until after your transfer is complete. You'll need your C Spire device to confirm your phone number transfer.
The following restrictions apply:
  • Only the account holder can complete a phone number transfer or disconnect any line on the account.
  • To disconnect the line or service of a deceased customer, a relative or the executor of the estate should contact us.
  • You'll need to pay any remaining balance before disconnecting your service. If you're disconnecting due to military deployment, the remaining balance may be waived if you return your device with a copy of your orders.
