How to manage Emergency Alert settings on your Android phone

The Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) system can notify you of natural disasters, missing persons, and presidential messages. These alerts are enabled by default on your device. You can enable or disable some of these alerts by following the steps below.

Open the Messages app.

Go to the Settings menu for the Messages app.

Look for a section or menu called Emergency alert or similar.

Enable or disable any of the alert types. Note: Not all alert types can be managed.
