How to find the PUK code for your device

First of all, what is a PUK? It’s your device’s PIN Unlocking Key (or PIN Unlocking Code). It’s an eight-digit number that is unique to the SIM card in your device. If you’re being prompted for the PUK, it probably means that you’ve entered the wrong passcode to unlock your device too many times. It could also mean that you’ve changed the security settings for your device and the SIM card is now blocked. The PUK is needed to unfreeze the SIM card.
Each device has its own PUK. The PUKs for all devices on an account are available to the account holder by signing in to cspire.com. Your online account must already be "CPNI-verified," which means that you're able to view your billing and usage details. Only the account holder or primary on the account can view PUKs.
  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. Select Account Settings from the side navigation.
  3. Scroll down to the PIN Unlocking Key (PUK) section.
  4. Select to view the PUK for the desired mobile number.
  5. On your device, enter the requested PUK.
After entering the PUK, you'll be prompted to set up a new security PIN to unlock your device going forward. Don't try guessing the PUK! If you enter it incorrectly too many times, your SIM card will become permanently locked and you'll have to get a new one. You can also obtain a device's PUK, by going to a store. We will verify your identity as the account holder before providing the PUK for the device.
