How to bring your own phone to C Spire

First, you'll need to check if the phone is compatible on our network. You can do that by searching your ESN, MEID or IMEI in our device compatibility checker.

Before using your phone on another network, you must also confirm it is "unlocked" from your current carrier. An unlocked device is one that you own outright, meaning it is not under contract and you've paid it off.
Confirm the lock status of your device

Android Devices: Contact your current carrier to find out if your device is locked or unlocked. See carrier info below.

iOS Devices: Go to Settings > General > About > Scroll to the Carrier Lock setting. "No SIM restrictions" means the device is unlocked. "SIM Locked" means that your device is locked to its current carrier.

Contact customer support for your previous carrier to unlock your device. Learn more about unlocking a C Spire Device.

Note: An unlocked device may not work immediately on C Spire's network. Functionality depends on our network, its policies and device management capabilities.
