RIDGELAND, Miss. (December 6, 2024) – C Spire, a diversified telecommunications and technology services company, is boosting connectivity for Jackson County and Clay County schools and residents. This includes a macro site in Clay County and a small cell site at an area high school in Jackson County along with a new tower at Big Point.
The latest enhancement at West Point High School replaces a small cell with a macro site to add capacity and additional bands to support surrounding macro site traffic for an improved experience. Because of the successful deployment of the West Point High School macro site, C Spire will model future macro sites at high schools after the site.
The small cell at East Central High School near Hurley provides seamless connectivity for students, educators, and families. The new tower at Big Point on the eastern border of Jackson County adds more spectrum bands and capacity and is boosting coverage for existing customers.

C Spire's approach to network enhancement has resulted in over 500 infrastructure improvements across Mississippi in 2022 and 2023, including 5G and LTE deployments. These enhancements build upon C Spire's network and the fiber infrastructure that powers its wireless network.
