(September 30, 2024) – C Spire, a diversified telecommunications and technology services company, recently launched a new small cell site at Creekbend Elementary School in Biloxi and a macro site in Itta Bena. These enhancements are bolstering cell coverage and capacity for customers.
Installing the small cell at Creekbend Elementary School will enhance coverage and speed, benefiting students, administrators, and parents. The macro site will increase customer capacity in Itta Bena, delivering a more seamless network experience.
Small cell sites work with macro cell towers to boost network performance and reliability. C Spire plans to deploy more small cell sites in other regions of Mississippi in the coming months.

C Spire's team of engineers continuously tracks customer usage and patterns, proactively expanding speed, capacity, and coverage by adding both micro and macro cell sites to anticipate and meet the evolving needs of customers.

The upgrades are part of C Spire's $35 million investment over the last 15 months in critical parts of its service area. C Spire's network team monitors customer usage and trends to strategically plan where to boost speed, capacity, and coverage.
C Spire's network team has made a significant financial investment in the cellular network and is committed to service quality and network expansion. With over 500 enhancements in 2022 and 2023, including 5G and LTE deployments, C Spire continuously works to improve its service and expand the network and the fiber infrastructure that powers C Spire's wireless towers.
