What is the difference between the Simple Unlimited plan and the More Unlimited plan?

While both plans offer unlimited data, More Unlimited includes access to your device's mobile hotspot at no additional charge. Also, More Unlimited is eligible for a special discount for teachers, military, government employees, and employees of qualifying businesses.

Can I use my phone's hotspot with this plan?

Yes, but you must first add Mobile Hotspot Feature for $20/mo./line.

Speed may be slowed:

  • After 50GB of total data usage
  • For both your smartphone and tethered device
  • Until the end of your current billing cycle

There are few rules surrounding tethering:

  • Majority usage must be on your smartphone
  • Ability to tether may be canceled or restricted if usage is considered:
    • Excessively roaming
    • Harmful to the C Spire Network
    • Harmful to other users

If the ability to user your phone's mobile hotspot feature is critical to your plan needs, C Spire offers other plans that may better fulfill your need.

Will my speeds ever be slowed down, or will I be charged overages?

We never charge overage fees on this plan, but if you exceed 50GB of data on your line during the month, you may experience reduced network speeds until the end of your billing cycle. Streaming video can result in high data usage, which could cause you to use more than 50GB of data during a month very quickly. To help you efficiently use your data without any noticeable difference in quality, videos typically stream around 480p, or about DVD-quality.
