How to understand your C Spire Home bill

The first page of your bill will summarize the most important information, such as:

• A — The name and address of the account holder.
• B — The remittance address for mailed payments.
• C — The last day of your previous billing cycle. In this example, the customer's billing cycle is from 01/03/23 to 02/02/23.
• D — Payment of new charges are due on this date.
• E — The account number. You'll need this number to set up your online account.
• F — If there is an unpaid balance from a previous bill, the amount will be listed here. Your service is subject to interruption if this amount isn't paid immediately.
• G — The charges for the current billing cycle.
• H — The total balance due include any past-due balance, if applicable.
• I — A breakdown of charges for the current billing cycle.
• J — The date by which a late fee will be applied if your payment hasn't posted.
• K — If paying by mail, fold and detach this bottom portion and mail along with your payment. You can include a change of address on the back of the payment portion.
• L — If you've set up automatic payments for your Home account, you will see a "No payment necessary" message.

The second page of your bill recaps the items on page one, provides a definition of the charges and fees you'll see in successive pages of the bill, and lists ways to contact us. The section at the bottom of the page is for submitting a change of address to C Spire via mail.

The third page of the bill displays the services to which you subscribe along with the cost breakdown of each including charges and fees.

• A — Payments, credits or bill adjustments made during the previous billing cycle.
• B — A summary of the current billing cycle's charges for each service subscribed to.
• C — Here, you'll see a breakdown of charges for the individual services in the current billing cycle (01/03/23-02/02/23). In this example, the customer subscribes to Internet service. In addition to the charge for each service, you'll also see a list of taxes and fees.

If this customer had made any service changes during this billing cycle, you would see an additional set of "prorated" or partial charges in the service category where the changes were made. For example, if this customer had added Smart WiFi on 12/30/22, you would see a partial charge in the Internet Service section for Smart WiFi from 12/30/22-01/02/23.
