Will I need a new computer, laptop or tablet to access the service?

No. Our Internet services will work with virtually any consumer Internet-capable device. The age and capabilities of the device, however, will ultimately determine how much bandwidth the device can handle. So while you can certainly access the Internet using a 10-year-old laptop, your experience will not be as good as if you access it with a newer laptop equipped with newer networking hardware and more ram. As a general rule, newer devices will have faster network capabilities. For wired devices, make sure your device supports Gigabit Ethernet. And if using Wi-Fi, always look for devices equipped with the 802.11ac wireless standard. C Spire provides the option of renting a very capable Wi-Fi gateway at just $14 a month. Or, you can purchase your own Wi-Fi gateway, install it yourself, and take over the responsibility of managing your in-home network. The choice is ultimately yours.
