Device Enrollment Program

Corporate-owned deployments made simple.

The Device Enrollment Program (DEP) provides a fast, streamlined way to deploy your corporate-owned Mac or iOS devices, whether purchased directly from Apple or through participating Apple Authorized Resellers.*

Now open to resellers and carriers.

Whether you purchase devices directly from Apple or through participating Apple Authorized Resellers and carriers, you can manage all your corporate-owned devices through the Device Enrollment Program. Contact your reseller or carrier to see if they're currently supporting the program or working with their Apple representative to support it in the near future.

Ready, set, deploy.

Deployment of corporate-owned devices is no longer a manual configuration process, and users get fully setup right out of the box.

Zero-touch configuration for IT.

With the Device Enrollment Program, large-scale deployments of iPad, iPhone, and Mac are seamless. Automate mobile device management (MDM) enrollment for every device, so that when activated, they are immediately configured with account settings, apps, and access to corporate services over the air. There’s no need for staging services, and no need for IT to physically access each device to complete setup.

Streamlined setup.

The Device Enrollment Program makes it even easier for users to get set up on iPad, iPhone, or Mac. IT configures devices through a management solution, and users are guided through the activation process with the built-in Setup Assistant. IT can further streamline setup by specifying that certain steps in Setup Assistant be skipped — such as screens for Apple ID, passcode, or terms of service.

Wireless supervision.

Through the Device Enrollment Program, businesses can choose to supervise corporate-owned iOS devices over the air. Supervision provides a higher level of device management, allowing additional restrictions from turning off iMessage or Game Center to customizing specific configurations and features.

How it works.

In just a few simple steps, you can get started streamlining Mac and iOS deployments using the Device Enrollment Program.

Step one

Create an account by providing basic information about your business including a D-U-N-S number. You’ll also be asked to create a dedicated Apple ID for administering the program.

Step three

Link your account to multiple MDM servers and assign devices by serial number or by order number. And choose to automatically assign all future orders to a default MDM server you designate.

Step two

Set Up.

Create administrative accounts to manage device enrollments across your business. You can create administrators for the entire company or by department.

Step four

Assign user profiles through your MDM solution. As the user completes Setup Assistant, the device will be automatically enrolled in MDM and configured with the proper settings.
