Ridgeland, Miss. (Sept. 28, 2011) – C Spire Wireless logged record Internet traffic levels Monday as consumers flocked to its new state-of-the-art website to learn more about the official launch of the new brand and a suite of personalized wireless services not available from any other U.S. wireless communications provider.
“Our website traffic levels were 400 percent higher than an average 24-hour period and broke long-standing records for Black Friday, Cyber Monday and other major high demand times in our company’s history,” said Greg Latour, senior vice president for Strategy Development and IT at C Spire Wireless.
During one five hour period on Monday ending at noon, the cspire.com website experienced traffic levels 1,400 percent higher than its average daily number of visitors during that time, Latour said, adding that the company has taken steps to reconfigure and bolster the number of servers supporting the website to handle the unprecedented demand.
C Spire’s new website, which is like nothing else in the wireless industry, offers a personalized experience specific to each individual consumer.
