Account

  • How do I set up an account?

    Two ways:

    • 1) Download the app from the Google Play Store or Apple Store or
    • 2) from your smartphone (or desktop PC, if you prefer), visit https://www.cspireinternational.com
    • Enter your mobile phone number (numeric characters only)
    • Enter the passcode received via text message. In the case of downloading the app and signing up, this passcode will be your permanent passcode.
    • Review and agree/disagree to receive marketing texts.
    • Review and agree to the consumer agreement
    • In the case of website sign up, your permanent passcode well be sent via text message at the end of the sign up process. You will use this same permanent passcode to login to the C Spire mobile dialer app.
  • How can I login to my account?

    After sign up, you are automatically logged in. For Returning visitors:

    • Two ways:
    • 1) You can open up your C Spire mobile dialer app and click on the Account tab or
    • 2) Go to the Login Page , type in your phone number and enter your permanent passcode (this will be resent to you via text message).
  • How do I update/edit account information?
    • Log in to your account
    • Swipe to the My Profile icon on the bottom of your screen.
  • Can I change my account phone number?
    • No, your account number is your phone number. If you get a new number, you will need to set up a new account. Any funds on your old account number can be transferred to your new account by using the "share funds" function.
  • Can my account be used as a “family plan”?
    • No, your account can only be used from your registered phone/number.
  • Can I opt in/out of SMS notifications?
    • Of course. However, you cannot opt out of account notifications.

Plans

  • What is the rate per minute to a country I call?
  • Can I use this app to make calls while in the US to US destinations?
    • Yes, however, your C Spire plan already includes the US so you shouldn’t need to.
  • How does the unlimited plan work?
    • The unlimited plan covers over 55 destinations. For the most part, only landlines are covered, however there are some destinations that include mobile phones. Remember, unlimited does not mean unreasonable use that could impact other users’ access to the service. Be sure to read the consumer agreement at https://cspire.international.com/support/terms .
  • How can I verify whether a number I regularly call is part of the unlimited plan?
    • To confirm if a number you frequently call is covered under the Unlimited plan, visit the Rates Page, or click the Rates icon on the bottom of your account homescreen. Please select the "Unlimited" tab on the rates page. Type in the country code and number you wish to call, then hit enter/go. The specific number will be looked up to see if it is covered by the unlimited plan.
  • What happens if a number I call is not on the unlimited plan?
    • If you have Unlimited and the destination entered is not covered by the plan, you will be prompted that you are calling outside the plan and you will make a selection on how to handle this (add funds, cancel call). Your call will be charged the per minute rate displayed on the rate page. If you do not have sufficient funds in your account, you will be asked to update your balance and try your call again.
  • How does the C Spire Global plan work?
    • Members in the U.S. purchase a plan
    • The U.S. member then enrolls their family and friends in Mexico, Canada, or Haiti.
    • Enrolled users may call with unlimited minutes to the United States only.
    • C Spire Global is a WiFi only product. So access to a WiFi network with good signal is required to make calls.
  • How will my enrolled users know they have the C Spire Global Plan?
    • When the U.S. subscriber completes their enrollment, the international user will receive a text message informing them of their new C Spire Global plan and their passcode for the dialer.
  • How do I place a call using C Spire Global?
    • You must download the C Spire dialer from the Google Play Store or iTunes Store. Select your country code; enter your phone number and passcode. Accept the terms and conditions and you are ready to make phone calls
    • To place a call to the U.S., be sure to prefix the number with a + by holding the 0 key.

  • How do I add funds to my account?
    • Log in to your account.
    • Under My PayGo balance, tap Add Funds.
    • Select the amount you wish to add ($5, $10, $20, $25, $40, $50)
    • Swipe the toggle to On to add unlimited calling
    • Input your credit card information
    • Confirm your purchase
  • Will I lose my balance if I don't use it?
    • No, you will not lose your balance.
  • What form of payment is needed to open an account?
    • We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
    • Please make sure to enter the credit card information and billing address exactly as it is shown on your monthly bill.
    • You will see a charge on your statement from C Spire ILD
  • Can I safely enter my credit card number on your website?
    • Yes, all of our subscribers' personal information is stored safely behind our firewall and all online transactions are handled with the highest level of security. Credit card information is validated using our payment provider, and your credit card information is NOT stored on our servers. We incorporate SSL (Security Socket Layer) into our website and employ the latest encryption technology to prevent your information from being intercepted.
  • Why was my credit card declined?
    • You may have previously saved your credit card's expiration date which has now expired
    • The address you provided may be different from the address your credit card company has on file. Please ensure that the credit card and personal information you provide is exactly as how the card issuing company has it. If you are still not successful, please email customer support at AskUs@cspire.com
  • Can I see a history of my payments?
    • Yes. Log in to your account, then tap the History icon at the bottom of your screen.
    • Make sure to select "Payment History" in the drop-down filter on the history page.
  • What is Auto Recharge?
    • With Auto Recharge, you don't have to worry about entering your credit card information every now and then, and you don't have to worry about running out of minutes to call your loved ones. We'll use your credit card on file to keep you up and running.
  • When does Auto Recharge kick in?
    • Your credit card will be charged automatically once your balance is below $2 and every 30 days if you have elected to subscribe to unlimited.
  • How can I turn Auto Recharge off/on?
    • Auto-recharge is automatically added when a prepaid checkout is successfully completed. To remove it, tap on Settings at the bottom of your screen, then select PayGo Settings. Toggle the switch to off to unsubscribe.
  • If I change my mind, can I get a refund?
    • Yes, you will be refunded any unused PayGo balance minus any promotional and referral credits. Please send us an email from the Support page and we'll get you taken care of. Unlimited calling is non-refundable. If you are using an unsecure WiFi Network or a public use network you will get this Security Warning indicating that your connection to the network is not secure. You may press “Trust” if you wish to continue with the use of that network.

  • What do I get for referring someone?
    • For every friend you refer that signs up, you get a 10% lifetime referral bonus (calling credit) on every purchase of $5 or more made by referred friends
  • How can I refer someone?
    • After logging in, simply click the Refer icon on the bottom of your screen.
    • Fill in their information and they will receive a text with your message inviting them with a link included.
    • Please note that your invitation is open for two weeks. You can always refer them again if they miss that two week window.
  • How do I know if they accepted my referral?
    • You will receive a text message letting you know they have signed up.
    • You can also check the status on the Referral List page. Simply tap the Refer icon on the bottom of your screen
    • Please note that your invitation is open for two weeks.
  • Can I refer someone from outside the US?
    • Not yet, but we are working on this feature.
  • Can I just give someone money from my account instead of referring them?
    • Yes, you can transfer any amount (except promotional funds or bonus credits) to another account.
    • To initiate a transfer, click the "Share Funds" button on your account homescreen.
    • The funds will be transferred immediately. Please note that cannot cancel a transfer after it has been made.

System Requirements

  • What OS versions and web browsers are supported?

    The following mobile operating systems and browsers are officially supported:

    • Android devices running 4.4 (KitKat) and above
    • iOS devices running iOS 8.0 and above
    • Desktop Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer 10+ and above
  • Do I have to have a Wi-Fi signal?
    • No, you can use the dialer on your 3G/4G/LTE connection or Wi-Fi. Just remember Wi-Fi doesn't use up your data plan. The dialer is set to prefer Wi-Fi when available.
  • What happens if I start a call on Wi-Fi and then lose my Wi-Fi signal?
    • Your call will continue on the data network (3G/4G/LTE), however, you will lose your audio connection so you will need to hang up and redial your party.
  • When I try to make a call using Wi-Fi, why do I just hear a constant beeping sound?
    • Typically, there is an issue with the Wi-Fi network you are using that is blocking the call.  Unless it is a corporate network where you can work with a network administrator, we suggest you connect to different Wi-Fi network.
  • I am at a hotel with WIFI service, my phone shows full service on WiFi but I am not able to get service on my dialer. How can I correct this?
    • Many hotels have private WiFi connections for their customers only. At check-in the hotel will give you an access code for the WiFi network, it might be free or there might be a charge. Follow the hotels instructions on how to access the WiFi network you might even have to access a designated web page to enter the WiFi code. Once you have accessed the WiFi network the dialer will now show “Registered”. Proceed to make calls.
  • I am getting a Security Warning — “The Certificate for domain is not valid or has expired”. Why am I getting this warning?
    • If you are using an unsecure WiFi Network or a public use network you will get this Security Warning indicating that your connection to the network is not secure. You may press “Trust” if you wish to continue with the use of that network.

Calling

  • Do I have to download a dialer from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store?
    • Our official dialer is the preferred method to make calls, but it is not a requirement.
    • To get the dialer, please tap "Make a Call" in the bottom menu and you will be taken to the appropriate store for your device. Please note that there is no charge for the dialer app itself.
  • How do I make a call?
    • After you download the app, you will need to enter your account details (the same account information you use on the website to manage your account). Once you accept the terms and conditions, you will be taken to the dial pad.
    • To dial internationally, please enter 011 (or +) followed the country code and number you wish to call.
  • Do I need to dial an access number?
    • Not if you are using our official dialer app.
  • On my Android phone, the native dialer is coming up after I try to connect my call. Is that how it is supposed to work?
    • Yes, if Wi-Fi is not available, the dialer will use “Call Through” to connect. This uses your cell phone minutes and will show your native dialer while the call is connected.
  • Can I make calls to both cell phones and landlines?
    • Yes, you can call anywhere in the world to either a cell phone or landline. Please check the Rates Page . Destinations that include cell phones are indicated with an icon.
  • How do I view my calling details?
    • You can view your call details on the web by swiping to the History icon on the bottom of your screen.
    • You can view your call details in the dialer app by clicking on History.
  • What happens if I don’t have Auto Recharge enabled and I run out of money during a call?
    • You will be warned when you have 1 minute left. Once the minute runs out, your call will be disconnected.
  • The party I am calling says I’m hard to hear. Is there anything I can do?
    • Yes, in the dialer dial pad, click Settings in the upper right. Under preferences, select Sound and then move the slider under microphone vliume boost to the right.
  • Can I call back to the US from another country with this app?
    • Yes! You can use this app anywhere, as long as your phone has a data connection (Wi-Fi or cellular). Just be sure to add funds before leaving the country.
    • Calling with Wi-Fi is a much less expensive option. Simply connect to a Wi-Fi network and dial the number you wish to reach.

  • If I am outside the US, can I make a local call? Let’s say I want to make call down the street to a local restaurant and make a reservation.
    • Yes! You can use this app anywhere, as long as your phone has a data connection (Wi-Fi or cellular).
    • Calling with Wi-Fi is a much less expensive option. Simply connect to a Wi-Fi network and dial the number you wish to reach. Cost for the call depends on the country you are in. See the Rates Page to determine the exact cost of your location.

  • I get an error “Certificate Expired” when I open my dialer.
    • If you are using the dialer on an unsecured wi-fi connection, you may receive a warning that the certificate has expired. This is related to the network you are on. Click on Trust to continue to use your dialer as you normally would.
