Sometimes you need to make an international call and other times you need to use your phone while traveling internationally. Either way, you want to know how much it's going to cost to use your mobile phone.
The first thing you need to know is that you've got to request access to make international calls or use your phone while traveling internationally. We block access to international calls unless you specifically request it. You're probably asking why we would do that. It's to protect you from a really big bill. Making an international call isn't like calling across the country. We want to make sure you're aware of all the charges before you start calling.
Requesting access to use your phone for international calls is easy. Just call toll-free 1-855-CSPIRE5 (277-4735) or *611 from your C Spire phone and ask a representative for assistance. Please note that when traveling internationally, charges will be incurred for calls placed to 800 numbers (including *611). If possible, request access to use your phone internationally prior to leaving the country to avoid these charges.
International calls can be divided into two categories:
Calls placed to an international location
If you're calling a location outside of the United States, Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands, you'll be charged international long distance rates. Just like with any other call from your mobile phone, you'll also use airtime minutes, if applicable.

|Central America & Mexico||$.50/min|
Calls placed or received while traveling internationally
In addition to the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, you're able to use your mobile phone while traveling in the following international locations:
- Non-U.S. Caribbean
- Gulf of Mexico
While you're there, you'll be using the local wireless carriers' networks or "roaming." The per-minute rate you'll be charged covers both roaming and long distance.
|Calls From||International Roaming & Long Distance|
|Gulf of Mexico||$1.49/min|
When you're using your phone while traveling, we rely on other carriers to provide a record of charges for calls made while you are on their networks. Because of this, charges may appear on your bill up to 60 days after the date you actually make the call.
Please note that some wireless carriers in Mexico charge an access fee of $3.00 per day to use their networks. If assessed, this fee will be presented on your bill along with applicable airtime charges.
If you have any questions about using your phone for international calls, please contact us toll-free at 1-855-CSPIRE5 (277-4735) or *611 from your C Spire phone.
